Pretty much the scariest thing i've ever done...

Ok so no it has nothing to do with flying an airplane, jumping out of one, or any other action at high speed. No, this was something of a more geeky nature. Being the guy that I am I like to take everything apart, so it probably comes as no surprise that I would finally do it... I took my laptop apart to replace the hard-drive. And I'm now typing this with my laptop, so I was successful. Well why am I writing about some stupid computer, cause i haven't flown an airplane since the end of August and i kinda think I miss it. Well here is the picture of my computer's guts, and the coolest scar I have.  Oh and the last one is of my dinner... boy I make good tacos (and i'm humble)

My $6 Million ride... for the next 6 months.

So this is my ride for the next 6 months... not to bad. Its got 2 ejection seats, pulls +7/-3.5Gs, goes 316 knots and best of all... IT HAS AC.

Physiological Training... not that great

Well here are some things that we have to do so they let us fly... yes... they let us drop and then we're supposed to fall "correctly" AKA the Airforce Approved Falling.

CATM Qualifying

Hey... so I'm in the Military... and you would think that means I get to shoot guns... but I'll tell you... that is a rare thing that we get to do in the Air Force. However, recently I got to shoot qualify on the M9 (thats just a baretta 9 mm) and then I got to shoot an M4 just for the heck of it. I did shoot well on the M9 and I qualified as Expert so I get to wear an extra ribbon on my uniform... but still... If i was shooting at myself I wouldn't be worried. Here are a couple of camera phone pictures of me shooting the M4 (this is shortly before I opened up with the three round burst and let the... target... frame and everything else around, have it.

Area Solo

Ok well I've been flying airplanes (small 172s) for the past few months and I finally took a couple pictures. However I didn't really take very good pictures because... well yes... I was busy flying the plane. And as many of you know airplanes don't fly themselves... ok maybe they do, but helicopters don't... but I wasn't flying a helicopter so thats just a moot point. Ok well enough of that... I've been flying in wha the Air Force calls IFS (Introductory Flight Screening) if I failed that then I wouldn't be allowed to continue to UPT (I passed). So here are the photos.
